For poker nights and bananas and cribbage and trivial pursuit and jenga and all the other board games in the closet. Had a few late nights with friends around this table already this summer and it was great fun...definitely a good investment!
One of my favorite things about this area is that absolutely nothing in this photo (minus the cafe curtain/rod) is new. The basement does have a very clear "Europe" theme as everything on the walls comes from my travels (except the Chat Noir hanging, which is just a nod to my own black kitty), and I will admit that there are several new things on the walls upstairs in our house. Using stuff we already had gave me a pretty solid excuse to "sophisticate" the upstairs a little bit. For example, the bullfight poster used to be over our living room couch - there is now a very grown up mirror in its place.
