Here's a view of what we did with the curtains. Originally, this was supposed to be a full wall (with a door), but I like how it turned out. The room feels a lot bigger and more open, and because the egress shares so much light (obviously hard to tell because this is taken at night), I'm glad that light can come into the family room area, too.
